Essential oils are the concentrated liquids extracted from plant parts such as leaves, bark, flowers, seeds, fruit peel, roots or wood.  Aromatherapy is the use of these pure essential oils to help heal yourself, those around you and your environment by using your olfactory (sense of smell).

Aromatherapy can be used in many ways including massage, inhalation, vapourisation, compress and during your bath.  Changing which essential oils you use can change your mood and your environment from one of uplifting and renewing with top and middle notes to one of de-stress and relax with middle and base notes.

Using top note's in the morning in the morning can change your entire outlook for the day and really get you going.  Middle and base notes in the evening can help you unwind after a hard day.  A few drops in the kids evening bath can help them chill out ready for a good nights rest.

Aromatherapy is something that is fun that can be used all day.  If you received products as a gift, this is one gift that will never be banished to the cupboard.  Suprise your freinds and family with your knowledge and let them be jelous of the amazing aromas that burst from your home.
